What does he do for a living? he is a cheif for a reastaunt for a member How old? 45 50ishWhere did you find him? at a restrauntHow does teaching him make you feel. i dono.. teaching is teaching.. its never really diffrent
Are the non-church goers still talking baptism? she doesnt want anything.. im not gona babtize her.
So did I hear you were in Colban last week? I go to colban 3 times a change.. And know the area there quite well. we do Zone activities and confrences there. as well as divisions with the ZL´s (when i was with the District leader)
Stand up dude?¿ What picture are you going to use.??
This week was alright. we just sat around today for P-day and played some texas hold úm and went to the market to buy stuff. nothing too much. I only have one week more with this change which means i will probably be leaving Salama. But no one knows.
We had a member get attacked by her dog last friday. we went to visit her today and they were talking about killing their dog. They were pretty convincend to give me a pistol (or another elder he) and let us do it for them. But they are going to wait 7 more days to see if the dog has rabies or not..
Things are the same here.... i gained 4 pounds... lastima. I had lost 60 but now im at 56.Elder Taylor Wood

Transfers - But Staying

PHOTO: Byron, who is leaving for his mission in Ecuador on August 21.

First of all. I will get my shoes resouled. its raining alot and im going to start breaking in my boots. i think we should hold off on the shoes. but send the camera ASAP. Mine is shot. it doesnt take pictures anymore.
I recieved my ankle braces last week. so i thought i would give them a try. two days later my ankle caved again. Pretty minor but it put me back a day or two. I like the smaller one better because I can wear it anywhere, anytime. How long do i take the pills? (they will help strengthen your connective tissue. Continue taking them as long as you need added help)
Sounds like gas sucks. its about 36Q (7.5=1) ($4.06)
This week was fine. We had changes and I am still in SALAMA Baja verapaz.. you can google baja verapaz its like a state in the usa. We had to travel about 1.5 hours away for a babtism for another area. It was in the river. we have a black market here. they just close a street every monday and friday, every just goes to town.
Anyway. i dont know what else to write about. questions are always good.

June 2 08

The baptism.. His name is Juan Carlos, and he is 11 years old. we just tought him and we was really a great investagator. goes to all activities and everything.

I sang in zone confrence. In a cortet. 2 weeks ago. And today we played soccer for 2 hours. man i didnt know soccer could be fun. but i scored 2 goals and had an assist.

its still pretty tough. we have a kid prepareing for his mission and he helps us alot. anyway he comes with us every day, but they kinda zone me out cause i cant speak Spanish.

Also with my shoes. Did you have to pay? (no) they have a 2000 mile warenty on them. so you shouldnt have to pay. the should also send them to me. i have my other pair so i should be good till they get here.

DID you get my package yet? (no) i sent it like a month ago.

You might have to just try to figure out the pictures and who is in them etc.

Um, things are still the same. i just eat, teach, and sleep.

Stung by a wasp

Another week is gone. Yesterday i had a funny experiance. we have mangos like crazy. if you want one all you have to do is throw a bad mango at the tree and 5 good ones fall down. I had the misfortunine of almost hitting a wasp nest. well a savage beast landed on me and stabbed my right about my eyebrow. today its pretty swollen.

Mom did you call missionarry mall_ they probably want pictures. have at them they are on the website

Anyway we had a babtism this week. Juan Carlos Age 11. That went well.

I saw the hugest cow the other day.

We had our zone confrence this week as well.

I have a few pictures on blaines website. mostly just the best ones right off the bat.

my link to moms blog doesnt work.

Thats about it. I bought a hammik. And it rained 8 hours yesterday. i also bought somethign called a corte for 300 Quetz *7.6 quetz is 1 dollar* its 8 meters long and its basically hand woven fabric.

Wow i have nothing else i guess.

What's the Price of Milk?

Well this week was alright. for pday 3 elders saw a members place and their was an electric guitar, drums and a bass. out of 8 elders i guess we had a drummer, and two guitar players. they jammed out for like 2 hours just putting music together. we might have a baptism this week but all our others have failed, we will see what happens. Im sorry the family is having such a problem with my problems. We have interviews tonight and i will talk to the president.
Maybe you could have had more parties, made me get out more. but things just happen. All you can do is DONT look back, because when you do you have regrets, and all they do is hold u back.
Maybe you did pray something to happen. I prayed to get shot in Paraiso and not die, to get poisoned, to have my health decline so i can return. have my body have problems with the food . nothing happened.
Two days ago a guy came really fast around a corner in a nice truck and tried to hit us. when he missed us, swirved and he slammed on the brakes (we thought it was a punk kid) and waited for us (but at that point we just thought he was out of control) well he started screaming in English and Spanish anything that is imaginable. well at that point i thought my pray was going to be answered. but he drove off, and i thought he was coming around for another try. Things just happen right? even in a good town...
I'm sorry that its so hard on you. but its not you thats doing anything, its me. and i don't want to continue. i don't care if i come home, go to Arizona, or any other place, just not here.
I will talk with the president, how I'm feeling ETC, as u said its between him and I.
as for the work people don't go to church. we have had 5 baptism dates just sitting around because they cant or wont go to church.
Hows the gas prices? Milk prices? anything else that has changed since i left? i think thats all i got for now.

Elder Wolford

ElderWolford, from Salt Lake has been out 18 months. he is sick (this is a good thing, and means really really good) at the guitar, and has alot of faith. and emergency transfer is when well, someone gets run over by a bus and the new elder cant work the area because he has no idea whats going on. so the president takes a few elders and moves them around where he sees fit. so about 6 elders can be switched around for one emergency. so if an elder has cancer and goes home. if his companion knows the area the president just pulls one elder from a trio and puts him there. my comp wasnt the comp to the one who had cancer (if that makes sense) he was just one elder president pulled to make things work. i am in the zone Colban, area SALAMA, (Baja verapaz is the name of the area ) i am about 2.5 hours out of the capital. my area has a few good sized stores. a street with a flea market and a place where there are houses outsize of the little city.
